Shouldering the social responsibilities to commonly create a harmonious China, on Nov. 10, 2006

 

On Nov. 8, 2006, CCTV, Private Economy Research Institute of Beijing University and Global Entrepreneurs jointly held a result release conference on 2006 Investigation on the Social Responsibilities of Chinese Enterprises in CCTV Media Center with over 100 famous domestic media. After wide social investigation and certification, it is announced by the conference that the State Power Network Corp., China Mechanical Industry Group, China Minsheng Bank Corp. Ltd. and Beijing SBT Ruyan Technology & Development Co. Ltd. and Dell (China) Co. Ltd., etc. were chosen into the list and becomes the top 100 enterprises with the most sense of social responsibilities for “shouldering social responsibilities and create a harmonious society”.

 

Prof. Li Yining, famous economist and president of Private Economic Research Institute of Beijing University pointed out at the press conference that: “the enterprise social responsibility is of active significance for the maximization of stockholders’ interests, rewards from non-monetary income of the enterprise as well the increment of intangible assets”. Mr. Hu Deping, Vice-minister of the United Front Work Department made analysis and explanation on the social responsibility of enterprises from the perspective of traditional culture. He deems that the social responsibility of enterprises “concerns whether a harmonious society can be set up, and whether the equitable development a socialist market economic order can be reminded to be set up.”
